In anticipation of the record sale, Crates LA has sent over another wonderful selection of music that will be available for sale this Saturday. Check below for some deep and dubby electronic music from UK producer Dave Huismans’ 2562 project, Canadian duo Psyance, Spanish producer and Deep Explorer label owner Dubbyman, and more. All five of these selections are sure to make some magic happen on the dance floor…
From Crates LA: “I dig for records constantly and love discovering new music. In fact, the discovery is the biggest allure of record collecting for me. You aren’t fed the same music recycled by some algorithm. It has broadened my musical tastes and I have become a much more eclectic listener. I am honored to be invited by ISC for this pop up and I am very excited to share all these under-the-radar gems and certified classics. I hope you discover some new music!”
The popup will go down this Saturday, November 19th from 12-6pm. Once again, hundreds of rare, obscure, private press records will be available for the first time. All records will be personally annotated and a listening station will be available. Crates LA will also be pouring complementary wine!

2562 – Morvern (2008)
Off the album Aerial, this track is a great piece of textural and moody dub techno. The whole album is a sick mix of dubstep and techno tracks. Been on heavy rotation lately.
Psyance – EQ (1991)
Released on Canadian label Plus 8 in the early 90s, EQ is a deep, dreamy techno cut with an incredible bass line. Anything on this label is worth checking out.
Dubbyman – Endtropia (Above Smoke Remix) (2006)
Spanish producer and Deep Explorer label owner, Dubbyman released this electro-house single back in 2006. The real gem is the deep tech house remix treatment it got from Dubbyman’s brother and co-label owner Above Smoke. Dreamy keys, shuffling beat, and some glitchy vocal samples. Haven’t been able to get enough.
Lambda feat. Martha Walsh – Hold On Tight (Nalin & Kane Remix) (1997)
A truly epic song and a master class in electronic production, Nalin & Kane transformed Lambda’s “Hold On Tight” into a 12 minute monster containing elements of house, techno, & trance. A slow burner that perfectly builds & layers with nasty bass, haunting knocks, and Martha Wash’s vocals echoing in and out. The type of track to give you chills.
Jazz-N-Groove – Keep Givin’ Me Love (Marc’s Tribe Of Lunch Pail Mix) (1993)
Marc Pomeroy’s remix of “Keep Givin’ Me Love” is a dance floor killer with a D-Train vocal sample and insane bass line. Great budget pick up with the “Roy’s Deep-A-Holic Jazz Mix” sitting at B2 getting an honorable mention.
