Knopha – Nothing Nil

Nothing Nil is the vinyl debut of Shanghai-based electronic producer / DJ Knopha on new label Eating Music. Knopha is part of a small but growing underground electronic music scene in Shanghai along with artists like Endy (Groove Bunny Records) and China Social Club (NTS). Nothing Nil has a very pleasantly cold digital sound, which might sound strange coming from a site that treasures analog. The three tracks, which translate to 1,2,3, sit in a sort of driving, ambient downtempo zone with crystal pads, digital synths, and sampled percussion sounds.
