Buchner – Haindling 1
A selection from Growing Bin’s Basso, Haindling 1 is the debut album by the Bavarian jazz-pop band led by Hans-Jürgen Buchner. The group is essentially a solo project of Buchner who does all the studio work including vocals, sax, trumpet, keyboards, guitar, percussion, and production, while the band “Haindling” performs the compositions live. Their sound is a unique mixture of Bavarian volksmusik melodies, horns, and language with early electronic synth pop production a la Kraftwerk. Check the dancefloor-friendly B5 “I Mog Di” which features a motorik drum groove with an incredibly addictive analog synthesizer bassline and lead.
