Ingleton Falls – Champagne In Mozambique

Champagne In Mozambique is a mind blowing private press find by Isle of Jura, Kevin Griffiths’ Adelaide-based reissue label. Originally released to just 100 cassette copies in ’93, the album explores euphoric or “mindful” electronics with inspiration drawn from dub acts like African Headcharge, Dub Syndicate, and the sample-based downtempo stylings of UK’s The Orb and The KLF. Instead of the typical Side A, Side B titling, the duo chose to split the album with an “Unaware” and an “Aware” side, featuring heady dancefloor frenzies and a flip that acts as its incredibly infectious, blissful, and meditative counterpart. Recommended for those who have fallen for the On-U sound or in need of some deep ethereal listening.
