The first of three Talking Heads albums produced by Brian Eno, More Songs About Buildings And Food expanded on the group’s rhythmic sensibilities with more danceable grooves. The punk-meets-funk aesthetic and Eno-Byrne pairing would prove to be a massive success landing the group’s first top-thirty single with their cover of Al Green’s “Take Me To the River.” The track would also become a staple at the legendary New York City discotheque Paradise Garage played by the great Larry Levan.
