The Gerogerigegege is the legendary Japanese noise/experimental project founded in 1985 by Juntaro Yamanouchi. The group became well-known for their disturbing early concerts which revolved around 千摺り senzuri (male masturbation) and Gero 30 – Yamanouchi’s muse and artistic partner, a much older exhibitionist and sex performer Tetsuya Endoh. >(decrescendo), originally released in 2019 on tape only and later pressed on vinyl by The Trilogy Tapes, sees Yamanouchi explore quieter sounds featuring field recordings of street corners, fuzzy ambient textures, and a wandering melody. It’s a deeply absorbing experience that we highly recommend listening to all the way through.
