Members of the Sai Anantam Ashram will be performing Swamimi’s devotional music Sunday, April 10th at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
If you missed The Sai Anantam Ashram Singers last November at Luaka Bop’s two-day celebration of Alice Coltrane at 2220 Arts, here’s another chance to experience “The Spirit of Turiyasangitanda” in-person. This time, long-running nomadic experiential event series Ambient Church will be hosting and producing the show at the historic Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles.
In 1976, Swamimi Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda established The Vedantic Center in the Santa Monica Mountains of Agoura, California, and later named it the Sai Anantam Ashram. The ashram served as a sanctuary where seekers from all faiths were welcomed and experienced the sublime teachings on spiritual life.
A note from the The Sai Anantam Ashram:
All are welcome to join us in celebrating the devotional music of the Sai Anantam Ashram. This musical offering of chanting sacred holy names of God invigorates and amplifies the calling we all feel to strive for the realization of truth within ourselves.
As we pay homage to the late Guru Swamini Turiyasangitananda founder of the Sai Anantam Ashram that served as a sanctuary for seekers of all faiths we continue to share the teachings, glorious music and singing of devotional songs. The inspirational divine sound will be shared in its ceremonial manner as it has been for almost 40 years when the ashram was established in 1983.
The performance lineup includes:
- Sita Michelle Coltrane (voice)
- The Sai Anantam Ashram Singers
- Radha Botofasina (harp, voice)
- Surya Botofasina (keyboards, voice, Musical Director)
- Carlos Niño (percussion, elements)
