Dublab presents Morton Subotnick’s Final Los Angeles Performance March 31st

TIOH Arts & Culture and dublab proudly present Morton Subotnick’s
‘As I Live and Breathe’ on Thursday, March 31.
Our good friends over at dublab bring you an absolutely not to be missed show at Temple Israel of Hollywood later this month! Composer and electronic music legend Morton Subotnick will return to Los Angeles for one night only during his final tour to premiere the ultimate version of his newest work “As I Live and Breathe” (2022) alongside his seminal work “Silver Apples of the Moon” (1967). Presented in surround sound with live animations, this immersive experience is a feast for the senses. Subotnick is one of the pioneers in the development of electronic music and an innovator in works involving instruments and other media, including interactive computer music systems.
Subotnick worked with Buchla on one of the first analog synthesizers and composed seminal works on the instrument. The show will be a chance to experience Subotnick’s genius and legacy in-person…
“At 88, it will be one of the last, if not the last, of my public performance works,” shares electronic pioneer and innovator Morton Subotnick.
