Freedom to Spend In-Store w/ Pete Swanson

Freedom to Spend co-founder Pete Swanson joins us for an in-store set to celebrate the label’s latest releases.
RVNG Int’l affiliate Freedom to Spend has been on a bit of a roll recently with three releases in 2021 including ISC favorite Sync or Swim, a wonderfully noisy collection of home recordings featuring guitar and loads of delay, by The Same aka Felixstowe-based musician Robert Cox.
Thursday, December 2nd Pete Swanson joins us to celebrate their latest reissues from French duo Uman and Bay Area composer/media artist Pamela Z. As usual, vinyl & special editions will be available in-store exclusively from the label.
Uman: “Chaleur Humaine” straddles new age (they were they pop band on Windham Hill) and dream pop ala the Cocteau Twins.. early sampling strategies, collaged vocals, punchy bass, crystalline production.

Pamela Z: “Echolocation” is an essential chunk of music with a lush tapestry of deep listening vocal meditations, MIDI explorations, and operatic art rock junctures.

Beer, natural wine, and lounge space will be available next door.
