Spanish experimental ambient legend Suso Saiz joins us at In Sheep’s Clothing alongside Suzanne Kraft!
In Sheep’s Clothing presents an intimate night of live experimental guitar music from legendary Spanish composer / guitar player Suso Sáiz, who is known recently for his releases on the beloved Dutch label Music from Memory. Joining him will be LA-based artist Suzanne Kraft, who collaborated with Saiz in 2020 on their album Between No Things.
“Having been at the forefront of Spain’s experimental music scene since the late 1970s, multi-instrumentalist Suso Saiz formed the pivotal group Orquesta de las Nubes, studio project Música Esporádica, Suspended Memories and Trash of Dreams. His work has been evolving towards the creation of textures, based on guitars and processes over acoustic elements and soundscapes. Saiz’s mastery of timbre and ability to paint layers of sound with the subtlest of touches stand out unmistakably to the listener. As always, his radiant drones are a nest of hidden feelings; they glisten with complex emotions and textures, teasing out moods of vulnerability and hope.”
