Music from Memory: Tako Reyenga Dedicates Mix to Jamie Tiller

“So, satisfied, leave without a trace…”
As the world becomes increasingly bleak, now more than ever, we turn to music as a healing salve.
Music from Memory co-founder Tako Reyenga’s latest mix has been working its magic for us recently. Dedicated to his dear friend and musical partner Jamie Tiller, who passed away in 2023, Tako’s Bar Sway mix is a tender journey through quiet meditation, circles of light, and distant voices.
The mix, which Tako says is more of a listening session, contains numerous tracks released on Music from Memory and its extended family, including Suso Saiz, Orquesta De Las Nubes, Irena and Vojtech Havlovi, and Jonny Nash (Melody As Truth). There’s also a block of deeply emotional atmospheric music from legendary English post-rock group Bark Psychosis, who we’re very much all about right now in these trying times.
We recommend listening to this mix in the morning or late at night, preferably completely in silence…
From Bar Sway (Berlin-based restaurant / bar co-founded by Jamie Tiller and his wife Tasya):
“It feels really good to listen to this mix from Jamie’s dear friend and Music from Memory Partner, Tako Reyenga — and not just because it gives a glimpse into one of the most impressive record collections out there. Tako spent a night at the bar last October, commemorating Jamie’s life through a thoughtful rotation of records. This mix is an extension of that, inspired by what he played that night. It’s for all of us, but it most certainly goes out to Jamie. Tune in via the link in bio 🤍 miss you JT.”
If you enjoyed the mix, we highly recommend checking out Tako’s SoundCloud for more beautiful sounds.
