This Ain’t No Picnic Festival: LCD Soundsystem, Floating Points, Yves Tumor, Sleep, and more!
Classic indie acts, your favorite DJ’s, and the McIntosh-powered Despacio soundsystem all in our backyard.
Goldenvoice along with some friends of ISC have recently announced a new festival going down next August 27-28, 2022 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
The festival lineup is largely centered around indie/rock acts across the decades including The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Godspeed You!, Black Emperor, Mac Demarco, Phoebe Bridgers, Beach House, and a reunion of Le Tigre in the group’s first performance in 12 years. There’s a carefully curated electronic focus here too including Four Tet, Honey Dijon, Floating Points, Avalon Emerson, and Gerd Janson.
Personally, we’re excited to catch Yves Tumor’s new live show which we’ve heard is not to be missed… Gerd Janson is always a good time too!
On a more hi-fi related note: James Murphy’s Despacio sound system will have its own stage all weekend long. The one-of-a-kind sound system and music listening experience features 7 custom built speakers in a circular configuration powered by nearly 50,000 Watts of McIntosh power. Deep listening, deep dancing…
