Hopefully we’re not dating ourselves too much with this thought, but does anyone else miss gifting mixtapes to friends and family during the holiday season? In many ways, compact discs were the perfect physical format for gifting music before Apple and mp3 players took over the world. Blank CD’s cost only a couple bucks, everyone had a CD player, you could easily customize the track selection, and even print out artwork for the jewel case if you wanted. You’d spend hours crafting the perfect selection and flow for each disc…
So — In the spirit of all the ‘90s and ‘00s era nostalgia in the music released this year, we’ve decided to present our end-of-year list in mixtape format! While we don’t have a jewel case or physical copies to pass out, we do have some amazing artwork from Radha and the full track selection listed out below (give it a few seconds to load).
