Art of Noise – Moments in Love

“Moments in Love” is one of those instrumentals you’ve probably heard long before knew what it was. Maybe in the background of a TV show, or drifting out of an older siblings bedroom. At our last listening session, someone came up and said that they had even heard it in a telenovela… That four-note melody is filled with such emotional weight, and its one of those earworm melodies that gets you no matter where you hear it. The track was composed with the cutting edge Fairlight CMI during a pivotal era of exploration for artists in the electronic field. “It was the start of the whole voyage into enabling anybody to do pretty much whatever they wanted to do sonically,” says Art of Noise’s JJ Jeczalik. A staple of early Balearic sets in Ibiza, “Moments” feels like a song to sink into with glittering waves in the distance, or the morning sun streaking through closed blinds.
