Another fourth world adventure, this time into a sunny Portuguese imaginary island. Carlos Maria Trinadade and Nuno Canavarro were respected veterans in the 80’s Portugal pop-rock scene. When a mutual friend introduced the two, they decided to collaborate on a record and dove headstrong into the experimental. Although side A is credited to Carlos and the B to Nuno, the recording process was completely symbiotic. Using a wide array of exotic traditional acoustic instruments (including marimba, panpipes, flugelhorn, to even a shakuhachi flute) and blending them with Roland samplers and Yamaha synthesizers, they create a full formed world with elements of old and new, traditional and experimental, reality and fantasy. Music that can be aptly described as classical from a summery unknown paradise.
