Faze-O – Riding High

Dr. John’s seventh studio album In The Right Place features a number of classic tracks, including the hit single “Right Place Wrong Time,” which is one of the Bayou Funk legend’s most recognizable songs. The song is built around a driving funk rhythm, with a catchy hook. In The Right Place achieved its peak position on the Billboard 200 chart, spending a total of 33 weeks on the chart and peaking at #24 on June 23, 1973 making it Dr. John’s highest charting album. Featuring some top-notch musicians including members of The Meters and Ralph MacDonald, the album’s instrumentation and production is slick and polished, but still has a raw, gritty feel that perfectly captures the spirit of New Orleans music. – Ally
