Erika de Casier

A rising talent nurtured by a musical community of friends based out of Aarhus, Denmark, singer and producer Erika de Casier delivers a record akin to a “greatest hits” for her debut album simply titled Essentials. Erika’s sound is a fresh take on classic 90’s rnb pop, but executed in her own unique way without the finished product sounding like another forgettable throwback. Produced primarily by Erika with the help of longtime friend and deep house cult hero DJ Central, the duo infuse elements of ambient and downtempo into their songs to create a highly original polished pop sound. Erika’s recent signing to 4AD hints of a new style emerging and we’re excited to see Erika’s profile rise, but we’ll probably always look back to Essentials as her “essential” body of work.
