Iggy Pop – New Values
New Values is iconic Stooges’ frontman Iggy Pop’s third album as a solo act and his first without any involvement from David Bowie. The supporting cast includes Tangerine Dream drummer Klaus Krüger, along with former Stooges guitarist James Williamson, and multi-instrumentalist Scott Thurston. Synthesizers and electronic percussion are featured throughout. A6 “The Endless Sea” is a particularly great track with a cosmic synth lead line rippling over Iggy’s angsty baritone crooning on anxiety and societal constructs.
