“A fairly essential recording from the Canterbury axis of early ’70s British progressive rock…” Avant-garde saxophonist Lol Coxhill meets blues pianist Steve Miller (not that one) for a diverse collection of free-form improvisations, electric jazz fusion, and pastoral piano music. Wurlitzer percussion, ‘messy phones,’ cheap alto, children, tapes, and motors are all credited across the album’s eight tracks along with other legendary Canterbury musicians Phil Miller, Richard Sinclair, Pip Pyle, Archie Legget, Laurie Allan.
