Silent Poets meets Mad Professor – Dub Remixes EP

The Ariwa Sounds UK lovers rock dub legend meets Japanese Japanese trip-hop duo Silent Poets for a collection of modern downtempo dubwise tunes. Featuring dubbed out versions of four tracks from Silent Poets’ 2018 album dawn, this EP also features a mix of legends and contemporary artists including: dub trumpeter Kazufumi Kodama of Mute Beat, UK female MC Miss Red, Addis Pablo from Jamaica to NY, and Hollie Cook, a female singer who currently represents UK reggae. Mad Professor is in top form here with his signature sub-heavy phaser dub, and it’s interesting to hear his dubwise interpretations of more contemporary beats on opener “Rain Dub” and Miss Red’s delicate roots-style MC-ing absolutely sets the mood on “Non Stoppa Dub.”
