An Update from In Sheep’s Clothing hi-fi
Join us as we continue to grow and build new listening experiences.
In 2017, we set out to create a space where analog culture, including records and hi-fidelity sound systems, might generate a communal experience. The jazz-kissa-inspired listening bar we opened was a special place. Its resonance in Los Angeles taught us that not only do people appreciate a room for connecting via deep listening experiences, but that, in many ways, we all need slower, more intentional expeditions as a balance to, and respite from, our fast-paced lives.
Last year amid the global pandemic, we made the difficult decision to close the doors of our first In Sheep’s Clothing listening bar and cafe. When we did so, it felt like lifting a needle just as a song was hitting the chorus.
To continue the journey, we shifted to an online platform in order to keep the music discovery aspect of our mission alive. Over the past year, we’ve managed to build a humble but dedicated global following of analog lovers to our website and social media destinations. We’d like to express our gratitude to all of you who frequent the site, purchase the albums we feature in the shop, and, of course, attend our in-person experiences, most recently the dedicated listening residency at Neuehouse over the summer.
As we ready our next chapter, In Sheep’s Clothing is opening a door for those who would like to support us further: We have created a Patreon page that allows anyone to back what we do as an organization. As we continue to grow and build new experiences (and eventually new listening destinations), we will be putting energy towards creating extra value for those who support us monthly through this platform.

We are launching it at a $5-per-month contribution with additional ways to support coming soon. As a subscriber, you’ll receive access to a community Discord channel with daily record & hi-fi tips, exclusive editorial & curated playlists, a monthly art print, and other extras produced in-house. In the new year, we will be issuing a monthly zine for all our Patreon supporters along with additional gifts built through partnerships within our community.
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
