John Carroll Kirby has a new Huell Howser-inspired interview series called ‘Kirby’s Gold’
The jazz musician follows up his excellent album ‘My Garden’ with a relaxing, introspective series featuring Los Angeles’ best.
In case you missed it, our friend John Carroll Kirby recently released a new show available through Stones Throw. Directed and co-created by Ross Harris, Kirby’s Gold is an interview and jam series with Kirby’s favorite people around Los Angeles.
The project takes cues from beloved 90’s public television program California’s Gold, which followed eternal optimist Huell Howser as he explored California’s natural, cultural and historical features. Kirby’s tribute is a similarly mellow experience, and a perfect respite from these troubling times.
