A classic from Italian duo The Countach, Aqua Marina is a downtempo house re-working of Santana’s “Aqua Marine” off of his 1979 Marathon album. Seductive, whispered vocals, light percussion, 90’s digital piano, synthesized woodwinds, and drum machines play over/under that mysterious Santana guitar groove with Jaco Pastorius style bassline. The track has a a true balearic sound to it and is perfect listening on the beach, in the club, or after a long day of grueling city life… The 12″ includes a “Dance Club Version” as well as a “Paradise Mix.” Both versions are excellent.
