A tropical grail lovingly reissued on 12″ by BeauMonde Records, Ni Bel Jounin is the lone single by the Creole-speaking French reggae band Cap’tain Creole. Originally inspired by Bob Marley and the burgeoning reggae scene in France, the group would later infuse the sounds of the West Indies and North Africa into their music creating a truly unique fusion of afro, funk, rock, and reggae. The title track features an absolutely irresistible classical guitar melody that’s both tropical and psychedelic while xylophone, brass, and synthesizer shine on the flip side “Fré Moin.”
