Unexpectedly incredible sun-kissed electronic smooth jazz from duo Dancing Fantasy on Klaus Schulze’s Innovative Communication. Dancing Fantasy was originally formed as a smooth jazz variation on German synthesizer music like Kraftwerk. You might argue that the duo’s music is extremely commercial leaning and even “non-innovative” music as one discogs user did, but that might just be missing their entire charm. California Grooves is full of unpretentious melodies, gorgeous electronic production, well-placed field recordings, and that perfect all-year-round LA sunshine vibe. Sounds great on a hi-fi system as well…
