Featured in the “Experimental” section of Chee Shimizu’s Obscure Sound disc guide, Desert Equations: Azax Attra was released in 1986 on legendary Belgium label Crammed Disc’s “Made to Measure” composer series. Iranian vocalist Sussan Deyhim meets the avant-garde electronic composer Richard Horowitz here for a unique blend of traditional Persian music, electronic jazz, tough percussion, synthesizers, and drum machines.
