Donna Summer – Four Seasons of Love
The stars align once again from trio Moroder, Bellotte, and Summer for Donna’s fourth album Four Seasons of Love. A perfect concoction of futuristic synthesizers, unforgettable vocals, and literary passion, the album tells the story of a love affair by relating it to four seasons. While all four tracks on the album are hits on their own (all would reach number one on the disco charts), listening to the album in its entirety is truly a transcendent experience. “Spring Affair” opens with sweeping synthesizers before dropping into a perfectly cruising disco groove. “Summer Fever” kicks it up a notch into hot and heavy disco banger territory. “Autumn Changes” brings a little Caribbean melody & rhythm into the mix as love is fading while “Winter Melody” sweetly eases us through the pain with a soulful ballad.
