Eric Lou Root – Don’t Worry

Unearthed by the Red Light Records crew, Don’t Worry is a private press outsider reggae oddity from Dutch musician Eric Lou Root. More a psychedelic trip than a collection of tracks, the album flows through an hour of beautifully imperfect synth-based dub jams featuring Yamaha DX7, drum machines, and tripped-out vocals. While lo-fi in production and imperfect in composition, the music captured in these sessions transcends far beyond its humble origins into a sort of timeless cosmic realm. As one fan comments, “You can feel how deep inside himself the creator had to go to pull these sounds out… makes you wonder if he ever came back.” Essential for fans of weird, DIY psychedelic music!
