Linda Perhacs – Parallelograms
Psych folk cult hero Linda Perhacs has had an interesting career, to say the least. After releasing her debut Parallelograms in 1970, Perhacs would become a full-time dental hygienist and not release any music until over three decades later when her debut had become a cult classic. Opener “Chimacum Rain” is acid folk perfection… Perhacs seems to have that genius capacity with synesthesia and a natural ability to sense energies. “My music comes to me, usually, like rain: It’s a fast flood. It pours from above my head, through my head, and I have to race to get pencil and paper to catch it.”
