“Pre-dotcom electro-funk from the long-running S.F. collective New World Music” reissued by the great Numero Group. The three tracks featured here were compiled from the group’s highly sought after privately pressed records under legendary Hollywood based label Macola Record Co., who released classics from Dr. Dre, NWA, Ice Cube, MC Hammer, Too $hort, DJ Battlecat, and Ice T. The incredible 808-driven instrumental title track is clearly way ahead of its time and exists as a bridge from disco, boogie, and Parliament funkadelic into electro, hip-hop, and techno.
