During the mid to the late ’70s Sharon Forrester established herself internationally as the leading female singer coming out of Jamaica. Her early successes would lead her to move to England, where she expanded her entertainment activities to include movies, landing a role in the British film “Move Over The Alley.” In the late ’70s and early ’80s, Forrester took a hiatus from recording music, but was called back by producers such Sly Dunbar, Clive Hunt, Steely & Clevie, Chinna Smith, and Leggo. Her return, This Time is a heavily underrated dancehall lovers rock gem produced by legendary Jamaican production duo Steely & Clevie. In particular, “This Time” and “Fire” are unbelievable digi-reggae tracks with a bit of a street soul flavor.
