Spring is the lone album by the 1970s pop music duo American Spring made up of sisters Diane Rovell and Marilyn Rovell Wilson, who was married to Brian Wilson. Recorded in Wilson’s home studio in Bel Air, the album is a cult classic collection of baroque folk-pop featuring cover songs and original material co-written by The Beach Boys co-founder. From the liner notes: “What does music do for you? For many of us, music has the power to do most anything we might need it to do. It’s easily one of the most dependable drugs you’ll find in anyone’s medicine cabinet. The musical process holds something very special for the people involved in spring, and that special something will be transferred to you the moment your needle makes contact with these grooves.” For some reason, this is not very available on streaming platforms so you’ll have to seek it out in person!
