Nobody can be you, but you! The powerful and positive opener on Steve Arrington’s Hall Of Fame Vol. I contains a classic drum break and was a favorite of both Paradise Garage’s Larry Levan and the Music Box’s Ron Hardy. Arrington was a prominent member of Ohio funk group Slave before leaving the group in 1982 to form his own group. Their debut is filled with upbeat funk classics like “Weak At The Knees”, “Beddie-Biey”, and “Way Out.” Arrington would continue his positive message beyond his music career by becoming a full-time minister at his Amazing Love Full Gospel Church in Ohio. He continues to make music today and recently released on Stones Throw Records with production from Jamma-D, DJ Harrison, Knxwledge, J Rocc, Jerry Paper, Benedek, and others.
