A dollar bin classic featuring the incredible 18.5-minute long “Macho City,” a near masterpiece which was played by David Mancuso at his legendary Loft parties. While Steve Miller might be largely known for “Fly Like An Eagle” (which is in itself a great song played alongside the synthesizer “Space Intro”) and his signature West Coast style of blues, rock, and funk, the artist always had a few surprises up his sleeve and the cosmic disco-not-disco of “Macho City” is full proof of that. Be sure to listen all the way to end for the wonderful field recording of rain that ends the trip…
