Voodoohop – Entropia Coletiva I
Psychedelic downtempo tribal folk from the iconic label/party collective “Voodoohop” based in São Paulo, Brazil. Combining traditional instruments with modern production influenced by dance music scenes from the 90s and 2000s, Entropia Coletiva I is a truly tripped-out crossover experience with the label’s sound both futuristic, ancient, and fully present. It’s no surprise that the crew has garnered heavy support from Japan, Berlin, and across underground dancefloors in Europe. The whole compilation is great, but D1 “Alma da Terra” by A Macaca and Peter Power hits an especially beautiful note with its hypnotic guitar and percussion groove, slithering 303 acid line, and ethereal vocals.
