One of the great pioneers of Venezuelan electronic music, Angel Rada played keyboards in cosmic rock bands before moving to Munich in 1973 to to study Electronic Music at The Musik Hochschule. Rada’s 1983 debut album Upadesa would be a tribute to his German heroes including Berlin-school pioneer Klaus Schulze. Rada’s fourth album, Continuvm, is an ethno-cosmic-spiritual electronic classic that imagines a new world through buddhism, synthesizers, and electronic drums. “I began to be aware that, in the universe, nothing is standing still,” Rada recalls. “Everything changes from one state to another, and every object is formed by moving atoms interchanging electrons. My perception evolved to a second stage focused on the relationship between quantum physics and Buddhism.”
