One of our favorites from the deep On-U catalog, Tunes from the Missing Channel is producer Adrian Sherwood, drummer Style Scott, and the whole Dub Syndicate collective at their finest. Sitar dub, phaser bass, trippy synths, unconventional samples – the works! The album was released in 1984 with some serious futuristic sci-fi energy… Check “Ravi Shankar pt.1” and the posi-sounding but also strangely twisted “Forever More” where the great Bim Sherman sings about wanting to fly away with “wings like a dove.”
