A classic from legendary British R&B group Loose Ends, A Little Spice is perfect ’80s boogie for dance floors of yesterday and today. Much like their contemporaries S.O.S. Band, Loose Ends developed a contemporary, elegant, soul sound with heavy synthesizer and drum machine usage. Roland 808, synth bass, funky guitar riffs, live percussion, and male / female vocal interplay would all be key components of their sound. A Little Spice would catapult Loose Ends to stardom with “Hangin’ On A String (Contemplating)” reaching number one on both the U.S. Dance and US R&B charts.
