The Alan Parsons Project – I Robot
A bargain bin classic and favorite from Love Injection’s Paul & Barbie, The Alan Parsons Project I Robot was inspired by Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi Robot trilogy which explored philosophical themes around artificial intelligence. The cover inlay reads: “I Robot… The story of the rise of the machine and the decline of man, which paradoxically coincided with his discovery of the wheel… and a warning that his brief dominance of this planet will probably end, because man tried to create robot in his own image.” The album is a perfect fusion of disco, electronic music, art rock, progressive, ambient, classical and even musique-concrete. Grooving, cosmic, and masterfully engineered, we highly recommend listening to this one on a pair of Klipschorns!
