In Sheep’s Clothing Staff Selections: October 2021
Better late than never… A new playlist from all of us at In Sheep’s Clothing.
Oh my October has creeped up on us! Apologies for the missing September playlist… We promise we’ll make it up with something extra this month. We’re still recuperating a bit from our summer-long residency at Neuehouse, but things are starting to come together very quickly. A few things are coming up on the horizon.
Next week, we’re hosting an intimate live show at our headquarters in West Hollywood. Local heroes Scott Gilmore, Suzanne Kraft, Benedek & Anthony Calonico, Cate Kennan will be performing live sets while we play a bit of music in between. October 10, we’ll be up in San Francisco for the Fault Radio Shifting Plates Record Fair at the San Francisco Ferry Building. Then on October 16, we’ll be joining our good friends from dublab to celebrate their 22nd anniversary at Zebulon in Frogtown.
This month’s playlist is a bit of a mixed bag of classics, modern pop, expansive world music, and a bit of dance music. It opens with a beautiful Singers Unlimited track we heard from our friend Lovefingers, later a haunted Lee Oskar tune, touches on Australian aboriginal music, some Richard H. Kirk’s Sandoz project, and the new Smiling C release from Kevin McCormick, David Horridge. Hope you enjoy it!
