“One of the great lost albums of the last decade,” On The Way To The Laughing Light Of Plenty by The Naturals aka Rub’n’Tug’s Thomas Bullock and artist/producer Eddie Ruscha (Secret Circuit) is a West Coast “psychebalearicfolk” classic from two friends / legends “traveling inward, aiming for the stars.” Apparently conceived from a jam session influenced by heavy yoga, the album certainly has that deeply introspective vibe but also the feeling of a smokey lounge with a futuristic sheen aided by clean production and synthesizers. “Can we begin to hold this time up for inspection through the looking glass or even a microscope? The devil is in the details and we have seen trails and we have followed these trails to some avail…”
